Tavares Signs Four-Year Contract
Coventry City have completed the signing of Portuguese forward Fabio Tavares from Rochdale on a four-year contract. The 21-year-old joins the Sky Blues for an undisclosed fee.
Tavares, who was born in Lisbon, began his career with Sporting CP before moving to Rochdale in 2020. He made 44 appearances for the League Two club, scoring 10 goals.
Tavares made his debut for Coventry in their 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic on Wednesday. He played 67 minutes and impressed with his pace and movement.
Coventry manager Mark Robins said: "Fabio is a young player with a lot of potential. He has shown what he can do at Rochdale and we believe he can be a valuable asset to our team."
Tavares added: "I am very happy to join Coventry City. It is a big club with a great history and I am looking forward to helping the team achieve success."
