Wicked Movie Release Date Announced
First Half of Epic Musical Adaptation Coming to Theaters in November 2024

After two decades as one of the most beloved and iconic Broadway musicals, "Wicked" is finally making its way to the big screen. The first half of the two-part adaptation is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 2, 2024.
The film will star Ariana Grande as Glinda, Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, and Marissa Bode as Nessarose. Acclaimed filmmaker Jon M. Chu ("Crazy Rich Asians," "In the Heights") will direct.
The first half of "Wicked" will focus on the early lives of Elphaba and Glinda, and their unlikely friendship that eventually transforms into a bitter rivalry.
